Project on grapes of wrath?

Im doing a simile project on the book and I need help on finding similes for some characters. Can u plz help me find some similes for: grampa, granma, uncle john, pa, noah, tommy, connie, rose of sharon, ruthie, winfield. So far, I got ma is like a paper clip b/c they both keep things together and al is like a wrench b/c they both fix things. Thanx for the help! :)

You can say Rose of Sharon is like a rose, to me she seemed delicate but strong in that she benefitted others. Uncle John was the drunk wasn't he? You can say he is a broken car, is not reliable. Pa is like dirt, you can mold him into any shape but not destroy his own qualities. Tommy is like water, he flows where ever he want to go to no matter what.
Reply:Maybe instead of doing this project, you should learn grammar and how to use a dictionary.

Grandma was like the family's government who made policies, made decisions and organized them.





Tom was their connection to what was spiritual and what was real and divine ethics.





Jim Casey, even tho a preacher, was part of Tom in the sense that social justice was being left for dead.
