How did Rose and Sharon die? What happened when Sharon opened her eyes and saw the dark side of Alyssa? Why does she look so evil in the backseat of Rose's car and at the house? And please explain the end! I don't understand it. And who were the scary looking ppl that caught on fire and turned to ash?

Alot of your question is answered in the game. The good Sharon finally remerged with her evil side, so when you see her in the car at the end she is the good Sharon with her evil side finally in her. They never made it back to their own dimensional plane. But the good thing is that they didn't die. They needed to find a secret door that leads them back into the real world. They were stuck in the parallel dimension. I don't know who the scary ppl actually are, but they're in Silent Hill to catch fresh souls and eat them. There's all kinds of demons walking around Silent Hill. They could be dead children that died when the city caught fire, and now they're doomed to walk around and always catching on fire. Rose and Sharon die in the original crash at the beginning of the film. Sharon and Alyssa became one (that seems to be the popular theory, but I'm still not sure if I believe that.) Even though they returned home, they are still in the "Other" dimension. The scary looking people were Alyssa's abusers.
