Help!! Question about "Silent Hill" the Movie?????

ok at the end of the movie the mom calls home to tell the dad that she found their daughter, but he couldnt hear wat she was sayin. the dad falls a sleep on the couch, now remember the sun was out and it was rainy. when the mom gets home wit the lil gurl its all foggy out side. they walk inside and leave the door open, the lady goes and sits on the couch across from the couch the dad was sleepin on. he wakes up and its sunny inside, he walks to the door and its open. but where is Rose the mom and Sharon the lil gurl? are they dead or something? i dont get the movie at all. please help me wit this problem i have wit the movie. Where are they??Where??

they are traped in the silent hill dimension. they will probably make a second movie where sean beans character will go to silent hill to look for them, just like main character of the second game went to look for his wife.

Reply:What I got from it was that they were in parallel dimensions. They were in the same place at different times. It was a bit confusing.
