Will white tailed deer eat rose of Sharon shrubs?

Just planted some a couple of weeks ago and they are already getting leaves on them....Just wondered if they are deer proof.

Will white tailed deer eat rose of Sharon shrubs?
Rose of Sharon is a type of marsh mallow (related to hibiscus). The marsh mallow family (whose roots were precursors to the modern marshmallow candy) is edible by humans.

Yes, deer will eat it if they are so inclined.
