When is the best time to plant a rose of sharon bush/tree? I live in New York State?

I would like to plant one now but I am not sure if this is the right time as they are already in bloom.

They are pretty hardy I would go ahead and do it now. I have a bunch of them here in Houston as well as, as at my farmhouse in WV. They do well here in the heat and up north in the cold. Just make sure you water it good every few days until it's roots have time to spread out. Also, they do get about the size of a dogwood so remember that when you plant it.
Reply:You can plant it now, as long as you remember to water it well through frost. I lived in CT (similar climate) and they'd take if watered enough.

Enjoy the blooms!
Reply:spring or fall but u can plant it now .should be buding or ready 2 bloom mine is.
