My grandma say's I should plant a Rose of Sharon in my yard, is that some kind of Satanic cult slang?

no...your thinking of the cult in Montana that planted Sharon Rose behind their shrubs. I believe that her rose was still intact.

No, it's just a nice shrub. Is your grandmother a Satanist?

Reply:Are you serious? It a flowering tree/shrub. They come in a variety of colors. White, purple, pink. My uncle gave me 1 the year i gave birth to my 1st daughter. They're very strong plants. :-) ever heard of "step on me plants?" lol

Reply:Actually, the Rose of Sharon is used to memorialize Korean war veterans. It is the national plant of South Korea. Was your Grandfather in the Korean war? Could be the reason.
