How to keep japanese beetles off my rose of sharon bushes?

I'm tired of picking them off and drowing them any other alternatives?

How to keep japanese beetles off my rose of sharon bushes?
I heard that if you take and put a little bit of dish soap in a spray bottle of water and spritz your plants it will keep the bugs off.
Reply:do you have any neighbors you dont like?...lol..if so give them some japanese beetle traps and the beetles will flock to your neighbors yard..you dont want the traps in your yard because the traps draw beetles so be "nice" to your neighbors and give them several traps or spread the traps throughout your neighborhood with various neighbors you dont like....you rose of sharon will thank you...lol
Reply:feed them sushi..just kidding..i dunno
Reply:There is a powder you can buy that works great...try Home Depot or Lowes...
Reply:you can try putting a net around your bushes. that's what we used to do, but we don't get the bettles any more.
Reply:Really the methods you've tried are the only ones that help to control them without using a pesticide.
Reply:How about some secured netting?
